The Benefits of Door Entry Security

DOOR ENTRY SYSTEMS

Door Entry Systems are simple, effective tools made to restrict access to properties or spaces by physically locking out unwanted parties with a secure door or barrier.
Access is granted by master users or predetermined digital passes including codes, FOBS, an electronically signatured keycard or more advanced measures such as fingerprint, retina or facial recognition.

So they keep people out, but what other advantages does a door entry system have over simpler methods, like a lock and key?

The Benefits

INCREASED SECURITY

Secure door entry is more than a mechanism, meaning it cannot simply be physically picked, like a standard lock. The digital signatures are not completely foolproof and can be copied at great effort, but they are much harder to imitate than simply taking a copy of a key to Timpsons are paying £6.

Furthermore, if in electronic keycard is lost, stolen or no longer deemed secure, it can be easily wiped remotely and restricted access. The equivalent of changing the locks on the door at the touch of a button.

ACCESS LEVELS

Completely customised access granted to each user. The administrator has total authority over the access gained by an individual, all or partial access to any number of areas can be controlled on-the-fly and changed at any time.

LOGS AND DATA

Each users access is logged and recorded each and every time its used. Time and date stamps accompany a record of individual ins and outs, saved for review or analysing at any time.

COMPLETE CONTROL

Having complete control over the access to each and every area, interior and exterior, without the need to “cut keys” for every new user.

Allowing temporary access to shift workers, restricted access to new or limited employees or guests. Keycards are easily programmed and distributed on the spot with minimal effort and cost.
